Is keeping an Animal at a Zoo Animal Cruelty? Is helping a species that maybe near endangered return to the wild horrible? Zoos have been here since before 1752 and despite all the things you read, they do some good, and in other people’s eyes some bad….
The Good: Zoos can help protect and keep endangered animals from becoming extinct; they have even helped animals that are endangered of going extinct return to the wild. They also help teach and show scientists new Facts’ involving Education and ect.
Did you know Most Zoos’ no longer capture animals; instead they breed them and exchange them between zoos. Some zoo’s take in abandoned animals and injured animals that can no longer survive in the wild.
The Bad: Some animals are bored and not able to do what they would do in the wild. The Cages Look beautiful with a lot of thought and care put into to building them, but you would need miles and lots more water to be sufficient in space. We are only human, and we do make mistakes, sometimes at these animals expense….
Despite my personal opinion about Zoo’s and whether they are good or bad, I encourage you to your own choice, do research, and try to remember that usually there is good intention in what happens…
